Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Arrange sliced apples in prepared 8" x 8" (2 L) baking dish. Mix together brown sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.

To prepare topping, combine ROGERS NO ADDITIVE/ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, ROGERS 9 GRAIN, baking powder, salt and sugar; stir well. Cut in butter, then gently stir in milk, mixing only until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon batter over fruit.

Bake for 40 minutes or until topping is cooked.
