Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
In a large bowl combine oat flakes, brown sugar, skim milk powder, vegetable oil, salt, vanilla, coconut and chopped walnuts.
In a small bowl, beat together egg and cold water. Add to oat flake mixture and stir well. Add cherries.
Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheets.
Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let stand on baking sheets 5 minutes before removing to cooling rack
